Seems like we have been sick for forever. Grrr. Nothing worse than cold gloom outside and sick doom inside. Finally on Friday we figured out that all 4 of us have strep throat. At least now we've got medicine and we can get better.
Here are pictures from President's Day/Valentine's Day/Myke's Birthday weekend during a brief respite from our sickbeds.
It was so nice when we went a couple of weeks ago that we couldn't resist trying an early camping trip. I'm so glad we did! It was cold at night but it warmed up fast during the day. Look at that face!
We've camped at Snow Canyon before and enjoyed it, but we've never had such a nice camp spot and we've never done much hiking. There are several really cool trails nearby, perfect for little ones. Above is Jenny Canyon, a small slot canyon about a quarter mile away from the road.
Myke and the girls on the trail.
Camping is always a nice excuse to break out the headlamps and investigate things or each other, whichever the case may be.
Penny could have moved rock valentines from hole to hole for hours. It was almost as good as delivering real valentines.
Lucy being serious in front of a lava tube.
The girls did a good job of staying warm by the fire.
Hanging out on the rocks in our campsite.
We even had a good time drying our hands in the bathroom.
Lucy stayed warm in her panda nightgown. I'm thinking of picking up one for myself.
Wandering in the sand dunes before coming home was one of our favorite things.
So that's a lot of pictures, but it's so cold outside today even with the sun shining, that I can't help myself. Think we might need to go look for some more southern sun at least one more time before spring hits the valley.
